Ten thousand years ago, Calamity Ganon, an ancient force of evil that has plagued Hyrule for longer than anyone can recall, was defeated and sealed by the efforts of the four Divine Beasts, Princess Zelda, and the Hero chosen by the Master Sword.

With Ganon's prophesied return looming, King Rhoam of Hyrule sets about recovering and repairing the Divine Beasts, training his daughter Zelda to use her sealing magics, and searching for the reincarnated hero. His search ends with the discovery of Link, the young son of one of his knights, who grows up knowing and training for his destiny, eventually becoming the personal knight of Zelda.

Before long, the two gather four more people, forming six Champions in total: Zelda, Link, and the four pilots of the Divine Beasts: Revali of the Rito, Princess Mipha of the Zora, Chieftain Daruk of the Gorons, and Chieftain Urbosa of the Gerudo.

Physically, Link is a boyish young man of around eighteen with shaggy blond hair and visibly large and pointed ears, standing at about 5'5" with a fit but slight build, and is usually dressed in the blue tunic of Zelda's Champions. He usually has the Master Sword strapped to his back.

He doesn't emote much when he speaks, having a dry and deadpan manner, and can be downright taciturn at times. He does love to make puns, though.

This Link is specifically the Hero of the Wilds, the last Link in the current timeline, removed from most of the games by more than ten millennia, leaving them as little more than half-remembered legends.
